No matter what Azzy says, Puppy pops out of the ground behind the King, stabs him through the chest with vines, and steals his SOUL along with the human SOULs from their containers. With Drazalor dead, Puppy attacks Azzy next, killing her and taking her SOUL as well.
Kokoro wakes up in the VOID, confused as they appear to be alive again. They find Azzy unconscious a short distance away, but when they try to wake her up, she attacks them. It's revealed there are vines forming a cage around her SOUL and controlling her, causing Kokoro to have to fight and free her. Together, they confront Puppy in his new form and endure his attacks long enough to free the other SOULs through similar fights to Azzy's. With the power of the other human SOULs, they defeat Puppy and take back control of the timeline.
If she hasn't already become friends with everyone, Puppy appears to tell Azzy to do so and bring them all together since it "might help her get home". After Azzy reloads back to before the fight with Drazalor, she decides to check the rest of the Underground to make sure nothing major has changed. Meanwhile, realizing his dead sibling just helped Azzy defeat him, Puppy devises a new plan to bring Kokoro over to his side. Needing to distract Azzy long enough first, Puppy gathers white mushroom spores from Wetlands and heads over to Dr. Lila's lab. Finding her heavily focused on repairing Ariatto, Puppy puts Dr. Lila to sleep, stealing her phone and the key to the True Lab in the process. Just as Azzy exits Tcarmyhouse back into The Unnamed Core Area, she gets a call from Dr. Lila, who seems to have contracted a cold, asking for a favor.
Wonder what that favor could be?
