Dreams:
- Dreams will be glimpses of "past lives" like viewing the old world from others' POV
- Some are alternate worlds based on DeadMix and its conceptual AUs
- Some are just straight-up weird dreams people have sometimes
- Ex: Swimming in a pudding
Nightmares:
- About the future/Conflict.
- Fighting
- Nightmare
- Cloud
- Loneliness
- Like when you're surrounded by people who love and support you but you still feel wrong
- Yeah, the feeling of being left out/or idk
- The feeling of being worthless because you’re different.
- Having the story plot from the original that Kokoro is a descendent of powerful people but can't do the skills they could (Magic in the old one, maybe the same here)
- Maybe I should take some more time to get ideas and comb over the old stuff (hmmm maybe, couldn’t think atm) (Same)
- Darkness
- Fear.
- Maybe an amalgamation of their friends and family
- Nightmare may showcase what happened to them?
- This could be the part where the old AUs thing could fit though, like the ones where things aren't going well (Specifically thinking about the DM + WiOW one, but the others could work too)
- Was gonna be based more on their (Kokoro's) insecurities
- What are their insecurities?
- Mainly the whole being different than the family thing and not feeling like they belong in the town
- Betrayal.
- Puppy is the dream guide but could he betray Kokoro?
- Could he be the main conflict?
- Possibly, but we don't want it to be a carbon copy of the old AU
- Nightmares are twisted dreams so does he have control?
- But then why use it to warn Kokoro? Maybe he’s trying to mislead Kokoro?
- Maybe have an ally/friend/etc to betray Kokoro?
- Maybe it can be represented as the dark cloud.
Story:
- Make the Arachnocultists a present threat throughout the rest of the story, or at least hinted at in various other places to show their danger, you could have the deity be the big final bad guy
- Puppy teaches Kokoro how to “recall dreams” (fast travel to areas you saved in), only usable on good route

Battle System:
- "DeadTale-style battles" that were gonna be used for Frog Flower and Nog but as the standard boss fight system for this new project
- Have a “cutscene death” indistinguishable from the real thing and used for certain story branching moments
- Weapon icon 🗡️

- Food icon 🍔/🥃
- Others/Misc. icon 💰
- During battle, Z Confirm, X Menu/Menu Exit, C Menu Left, V Menu Right
- HP/ MP bar at top (Kokoro and Enemy/Boss)
- Kokoro can still move around and dodge attacks with menu up
- Healing causes them to stand still for a bit
- Kokoro face portrait and face portrait for boss
- Angry face normally
- Injured face (1 eye closed, toothy frown) below 75% HP
- Very Injured (Both eyes closed, grimace) below 50%
- Very Injured plus flashing below 25%
- Bonk Animation, halfway between walking and running speed and spritewise, holding their head
- 2 types of attacks, Melee and Magic
- Must be within certain range to successfully perform
- Some enemies and boss may be able to run away from attacks
- Being hit interrupts attacks
- Acting can be done from anywhere
- Dialogue at bottom of screen
- Battle area can be bigger than camera view
- Status Conditions
- Burn: Attack Down, Speed Up
- Soaked: Speed Down, Evasion Chance Up
- Frozen: Speed Down, Defense Up
- Shocked: Defense Down, Attack Up
- Could have items or abilities that benefit from status effects
