While Azzy and Dr. Lila are preoccupied, Puppy travels back through the Underground, coming up with what to tell everyone to lure them to the Castle. Wanting everyone to arrive around the same time, he starts by visiting the Maze of Puzzles, telling Louis that Azzy is fighting the King and needs help. After he flies off, Puppy rushes to Flurryville to break the news that the final SOUL is about to be collected and break the barrier. While the townspeople leave to witness the event, he informs Pigfguu and Lucky that their mom went with Azzy, giving them more reason to get there faster. Coming to Swampside with the same story, the residents head that way, all except Marisol. With her refusal to head towards the Castle, Puppy decides to guilt-trip her with the knowledge she’s the ex-queen and she could’ve gone there at any time to put a stop to it, since it’ll start another war.
He skips The Inferno, figuring the monsters from the previous areas would tell the others there. Popping back into The Unnamed Core Area, Puppy catches a glimpse of Azzy and Dr. Lila in an elevator before its doors close. Without much time left, he makes his way into Tcarmyhouse, giving the Royal Guard a story about how the King is fighting Azzy and requires their support because he’s on the brink of losing. The sight of Guards running toward the Castle draws the attention of the residents of Tacarmi Village, who follow them in. With the first part complete, Puppy gets in position to enact the rest of his plan.
Unsure how Azzy knew about, let alone gained access to the True Lab, Dr. Lila asks her what she was doing there. Azzy tells her about the call she received and shows the call log on her phone to prove it. Growing more concerned, Dr. Lila questions what happened with Azzy meeting with King Drazalor. She finds her story about Puppy killing the King and turning into a giant creature with the power of the Human SOULs hard to believe, but can’t shake the feeling something else is going on. She decides to accompany Azzy to the Castle, in hopes of talking to the King about the situation. Azzy walks in the direction of Tcarmyhouse before Dr. Lila stops her and tells her about a personal elevator she uses to go directly up to the Castle. Using it takes them to the hallway leading to the Throne Room. Walking through, they find King Drazalor waiting at the Barrier. Silently, he turns around and begins the battle with Azzy, when Dr. Lila interjects to talk. Before she can say anything else, Oyadi and the Royal Guard storm in, only to find the King unscathed, with no fighting happening. They’re followed suit by everyone else who came after hearing Puppy’s stories.
There’s commotion with everyone talking over each other, until King Drazalor calls for silence. He addresses each group on their reasoning for coming, which everyone having a similar story of a red flower telling them to. A panicked look appears on Dr. Lila’s face as she recounts what Azzy told her. With the perfect opportunity to strike, Puppy interrupts the moment and captures Azzy’s friends, using their SOULs to transform into his old self. Back to being Torben, he confronts Azzy about knowing Kokoro is connected to her SOUL and how he plans to get his sibling back by separating them, becoming more deformed as he talks. Just like before, he attacks and takes Azzy’s SOUL.
Azzy and Kokoro find themselves back in the VOID, face-to-face with Torben in a new, more put-together form. Before them are split paths where Torben is drawing power from, each based on the main areas of the Underground. After enduring each path and freeing the people on them, they’re able to fight Torben head-on. After Torben tires himself out, Kokoro manages to reason with him, convincing him to let everyone go and break the Barrier.
With the exit to the Surface opened up, the denizens of the Underground make preparations to leave. Azzy makes a final trip to say goodbye to the various areas before everyone leaves, until coming across Torben visiting Kokoro’s grave at the Starting Area. They talk for a bit, with Torben lamenting that he could’ve been a better brother to Kokoro. Before Azzy leaves, he gives her some vague advice that leads to revisiting Frostbite Caverns and a final interaction with Kokoro. They congratulate Azzy and themself on saving the Underground, but admit they’ll be sticking around longer until they’re able to finish their ghostly business. With that, they catch up with the others and exit out onto the Surface, where they all discuss what they’re doing to do moving forward. Lucky and Pigfguu run off to see if they can find his family, with Dr. Lila going after them to make sure they don’t get in any trouble. Neo and Oyadi leave to scout out the area for Drazalor, who preps himself to make peace with humanity. Before he goes, he has a short conversation with Marisol about how he should go as he has a duty to fulfill, to which she sorrowfully agrees. Noticing her sadness, Louis comments on how he'd unable to take care of Azzy and suggests that Marisol would be better suited. With everyone else gone, Marisol tells Azzy about this being a new beginning, before asking if she has anywhere to go. Either way, the story comes to a close, with choosing not to stay resulting in her asking Azzy to promise to visit everyone sometime.
