With Dr. Lila taking the job, the lab is restored, rebuilt, and expanded to accommodate for more breakthroughs and the Royal Guard expands as more humans fall.
Tattered and barely decipherable files for artificial souls are found scattered across the Underground by Lila. Experiments to replicate the readable parts of the files begin. Amalgamates are formed from the fallen as well as the corrupted by-products of experimenting on the fallen souls. Experiments move to flora and fauna, causing the creation of Puppy and well as a few new monster species.
The unfortunate results are revealed to the public, which is met with general despair but understanding as the Royal Scientist spends most of the rest of her career trying to reverse the effects. Fully functioning "AI" is created in the form of a humanoid robot, based on past records of humans. Lila finds Lucky in Tacarmi Village, unconscious, while something awakens in a distant secret lab and makes it way towards the new lab.
The Royal Scientist secretly adopts the fallen child to save them from a terrible fate and in hopes to further the research on reversing the effects of the Amalgamates. Lucky and Pigfguu meet for the first time. After a few years, only a select few know of their existence as they roam the underground to help the Royal Scientist, and end up making a home in a small, snowy town. As time goes on, devices and special clothes are made, allowing them to have extra abilities.
